Dieting Burnout/Non-dieting Approach Audience

LIFESTEPS® can be used with individuals who have tried numerous dieting approaches with little success. For these individuals the word “diet” is a 4 letter word and brings forth negative emotions. Individuals experiencing dieting burnout may exhibit the following:

  • Look at food in a “good food, bad food” context.
  • Spend considerable time trying to limit intake of “bad” foods.
  • Dissatisfaction with body shape/size.
  • Spend much of their time feeling guilty about the foods they eat.
  • Turned off by the thoughts of another diet.
